Rebates

Following is a list of items we are currently providing a rebate on. The rebates are subject to change at any time. These rebates are provided "up-front" so the rebated amount is taken off the cost of the item when the member pays for it.

Water Heaters. Purchase a high efficiency 80-gallon or 120-gallon electric water heater and receive a rebate. Water heater must be installed on Cooperative lines and have load management receiver installed to be eligible for rebate. Members are also eligible for a special lower rate for electricity when participating in load management program.

Central Air Conditioners. A rebate for a high efficiency (SEER rating of 14 or higher) central air conditioning system will be issued to a member participating in the summertime load control program. This program allows SREC to control the central air conditioning system in intervals during peak energy periods. The controlled intervals allow the air conditioner to run 15 minutes and turn off 15 minutes. The member must agree to participate for a minimum of 36 months in order to qualify for the rebate.

Air Source/Ground Source Heat Pumps. A rebate for a high efficiency Air Source Heat Pump or Ground Source Heat Pump will be issued to a member participating in the load control program. The load control program requires the heat pump system to be controlled during peak energy periods in summer and winter. The member must agree to participate for a minimum of 36 months.
